I Was Murdered was written by Williamson. It is a musical tribute to the late Worcester-born pianist Jaki Byard, who was found dead in his home in 1999. His reach as a pianist went from Ragtime to no time. Byard was shot in his home in Queens, New York. As of 2011, the murder is still unsolved.
